This unit examines practical blockchain and Web3 use cases, the five emPOWERments and the role of value (V), and how digital identity and trust shape two-sided marketplaces. Students learn to translate value frameworks into prioritized opportunities, build multidisciplinary teams, and produce a preliminary marketplace model that addresses technical and nontechnical considerations.
Learning Objectives
- Analyze blockchain and Web3 use cases to identify core value propositions, stakeholder roles, and the implications for digital identity and trust
- Apply the five emPOWERments and the ‘V’ value framework to evaluate and prioritize at least three potential use-case scenarios for feasibility and impact
- Demonstrate team-building and facilitation skills by defining roles and responsibilities for a multidisciplinary ‘Rabbit Team’ and leading a structured brainstorming session that produces multiple validated concept options
- Design a preliminary two-sided marketplace model that maps user journeys, trust/identity requirements, incentive structures, and a phased implementation roadmap addressing both technical and nontechnical factors
