Scaling Scrum and Enterprise Agility

This unit examines advanced Scrum practices for extending agility across teams, functions, and the enterprise. Students explore scaling frameworks, cross-functional integration (DevOps, sales, testing), metrics and roadmaps for predictability and value, and strategies for leadership support, culture change, and professional development.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze and compare at least three scaling frameworks (e.g., Nexus, SAFe, Scrum@Scale) and recommend appropriate contexts and trade-offs for their adoption in an organization
• Apply integrated practices that connect Scrum with DevOps, sales, and testing by creating a sample roadmap and feedback loop that increases predictability and accelerates value delivery
• Demonstrate how to design metrics and reporting (including profit-and-loss implications) that shift focus from output to outcomes and enable in-flight course corrections
• Evaluate organizational readiness for scaled Scrum and produce an implementation plan that addresses team structure, leadership support, certification/training needs, and mechanisms to sustain a culture of innovation
