Capstone: Implementing GenAI Solutions

This unit synthesizes prior fundamentals into applied projects that design, evaluate, and deploy generative AI solutions across domains such as healthcare, education, finance, and customer experience. Students will integrate prompt engineering, model selection and adjustments, Copilot/GPT tools, data visualization, automation, and governance to produce usable, ethical UX outcomes and deployment plans.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze cross-domain use cases (e.g., healthcare, education, finance, customer service) to select appropriate GenAI tools, models (including GPT Minis and Copilot), sensors, and data inputs that meet user and system requirements
• Design and prototype an integrated GenAI solution (chatbot, automated workflow, or content pipeline) that applies prompt engineering, model weight adjustments or fine-tuning, and rendering strategies to produce final UX deliverables
• Evaluate model outputs and system performance using key performance indicators, factuality and bias checks, security/privacy controls, and user testing, and iterate designs to improve accuracy, accessibility, and ethical compliance
• Implement deployment and maintenance plans that integrate conversational AI into existing systems, automate routine tasks, document limitations and governance, and prepare training or support materials for stakeholders
