Copilot Design and Business Value

This unit examines when to customize an existing Microsoft Copilot versus building a stand‑alone Copilot, introduces Microsoft Copilot Studio, and grounds decisions in real‑world business use cases. Students will learn to map a proposal workflow, prototype Copilot configurations, assess ethical implications, and quantify business value to prepare for implementation in subsequent units.

• Analyze the trade-offs between customizing an existing Copilot and creating a stand‑alone Copilot for organizational needs, including maintenance, integration, and scalability considerations
• Apply Microsoft Copilot Studio to design and prototype a Copilot configuration for a proposal‑generation business process, including required inputs, outputs, and connector points
