Designing and Managing Slides

This unit teaches students how to manage presentation files, collaborate using cloud services, and enhance slides with tables, charts, SmartArt, images, shapes, and multimedia. Students will also learn to apply accessibility and design best practices and leverage Copilot and recording tools to produce polished, audience-focused presentations.

Learning Objectives

• Apply OneDrive and Teams workflows to create, save, organize, open, and version presentation files in proper folders while demonstrating appropriate file naming and storage practices
• Create and format slide content by inserting and editing tables, charts, SmartArt, shapes, WordArt, and images, including resizing, cropping, styling, and changing chart types and data
• Demonstrate multimedia and delivery skills by crafting or importing video/audio, compressing media for distribution, adjusting slide size and headers/footers, and using the Record tab to capture narration or presentation timing
• Evaluate and apply presentation design and accessibility principles—including readable text size, bullet limits, balanced detail, background styles, and restrained formatting—to produce clear, audience-centered slides and use Copilot tools appropriately
