Advanced Interview Preparation

This unit develops advanced interview skills including researching employers, crafting compelling behavioral answers, demonstrating executive presence, and executing professional follow-up. Students will practice body language, reduce anxiety, tailor responses for career changes, and refine application materials to increase hireability.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze employer information and company culture versus benefits to develop targeted interview questions and assess organizational fit
• Apply marketing and storytelling techniques to create and practice three to five concise, results-focused WDYWTWH/STAR answers that emphasize individual contributions
• Demonstrate professional interview presence by exhibiting effective body language, executive presence, and appropriate interview etiquette during simulated interviews
• Evaluate and revise application materials and follow-up communications (including post-interview messages) to address common mistakes, career changes, and anxiety-reduction strategies based on peer and instructor feedback
