Refining Slides and Collaboration

This unit focuses on refining and polishing presentations by improving slide design, visuals, charts, SmartArt, and templates while applying audience-centered and ethical practices. Students will also practice collaboration and review workflows (real-time co-authoring, comments, pinning), integrate and verify Copilot-generated content, and prepare presentations for delivery and distribution.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze slide layouts, color schemes, wording density, templates, and animation use to identify at least five specific accessibility, consistency, or audience-engagement issues in a sample presentation and prioritize recommended fixes
• Apply advanced formatting and media techniques—including editing SmartArt text, styling tables, changing chart layout/style, correcting image sharpness/brightness/color, flipping/rotating objects, compressing pictures, and restoring placeholders—to revise a 10-slide presentation
• Demonstrate effective collaboration and review processes by using real-time co-authoring, comments, pinning, recording slide shows, and integrating Copilot content while documenting methods used to refine and verify AI-generated suggestions
• Evaluate ethical and audience considerations (copyright compliance, restrained animations/sounds, color contrast, concise wording, and clear call-to-action) and implement revisions that address identified deficiencies
