Azure Machine Learning & Vision

This unit covers core machine learning concepts, deep learning foundations, and the end-to-end ML lifecycle using Azure services. Students will learn common algorithms, Azure Machine Learning and AutoML capabilities, dataset and compute management, model deployment, and fundamentals of computer vision and introductory natural language processing using Azure Cognitive Services.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze common machine learning and deep learning algorithms and select appropriate approaches for given problem scenarios in images, video, and text
• Apply Azure Machine Learning workspace features, AutoML, and Azure data/compute services to prepare data, train models, and create and deploy a simple ML model
• Demonstrate model management and lifecycle practices—versioning, deployment, and monitoring—using Azure ML tools and explain considerations for productionizing models
• Evaluate Azure Computer Vision and related Cognitive Services (Computer Vision API, Face Service, Custom Vision, Video Indexer) and basic NLP concepts, including limitations, ethical implications, and scenario suitability
