AI-Enhanced Project Execution

This unit focuses on integrating AI technologies into the day-to-day execution and control of projects, emphasizing real-time risk detection, cost optimization, KPI tracking, and scheduling automation using tools such as ClickUp and Jira. Students will also examine ethical, privacy, and security concerns and learn change-management and human-in-the-loop practices to ensure responsible AI adoption and prepare for deeper implementation and portfolio-level management in subsequent units.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze project data and AI-generated outputs to identify and prioritize risks, predict budget overruns, and recommend mitigation strategies using real-time alerts and predictive analytics
• Apply AI-enabled tools and automation (e.g., ClickUp, Jira, AI chat assistants) to map task dependencies, optimize scheduling, automate repetitive tasks, and implement cost-control measures that support project KPIs
• Evaluate ethical, privacy, and security implications of AI-driven decisions and propose transparency, fairness, and data-protection measures to address dilemmas and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrate change-management and governance strategies—including training plans and human-in-the-loop oversight—to overcome resistance to AI adoption and ensure continuous monitoring and adjustment of AI systems
