Applied ChatGPT in Practice

This capstone unit synthesizes advanced prompting, verification, and deployment strategies to apply ChatGPT across real-world domains such as IT operations, AR/VR, technical documentation, coding, translation, healthcare, and business planning. Students will practice detecting misinformation, managing token and persona constraints, designing multi-AI workflows, and assessing ethical and operational implications for responsible use.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze ChatGPT outputs for inaccuracies, hallucinations, and bias using verification techniques and produce documented corrections or source checks
• Apply advanced prompting patterns (roles, environment, scenes, personas, chaining) to generate domain-specific artifacts such as technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, code examples, recipes, and trip or fitness plans while managing token limits
• Demonstrate the ability to design and orchestrate collaborative AI workflows and multi-persona prompts for tasks like IT operations, real-time translation, meeting simulations, and product design, delivering reproducible prompt templates and artifacts
• Evaluate ethical, educational, business, and safety implications of deploying ChatGPT in contexts like healthcare, finance, research, and education and recommend mitigation strategies for privacy, bias, and misinformation
