Facilitation and Learning Culture

This unit develops learners’ ability to design and deliver effective training while cultivating a supportive, inclusive learning culture within organizations. Students practice writing measurable objectives, creating visuals and hybrid-ready delivery, facilitating presentations, managing Q&A and nervousness, and applying evaluation and follow-up to improve learning and professional development.

Learning Objectives

• analyze an organization’s readiness and learning culture using a provided rubric, identify at least three barriers to employee development, and recommend targeted strategies to increase accountability and inclusivity
• design measurable learning objectives and align them with appropriate visuals, learner activities, and delivery modes (in-person, hybrid, virtual) for a selected training topic
• demonstrate facilitation and presentation skills by delivering a 10–15 minute simulated session that incorporates engagement techniques, effective Q&A handling, strategies for overcoming nervousness, and delegation of delivery through others
• evaluate training effectiveness by applying evaluation models (e.g., Kirkpatrick), synthesizing assessment data, and producing a concise improvement plan with follow-up activities and recommendations for certification or professional growth
