Flutter UI, State, and Interaction

This unit deepens students’ skills building interactive, responsive Flutter applications by introducing layout widgets, form controls, navigation, animation, and gesture handling. Students will practice state management and data passing between routes, implement animations and drag interactions, and apply development workflows in Android Studio while connecting to local industry practices.

Learning Objectives

• Demonstrate responsive layout and form construction by using Expanded, TextField, Radio, and Dropdown widgets and adapting UI to various device sizes
• Apply state management techniques by using setState and implementing one-way and two-way data passing between routes, including returning values to the source
• Implement interactive behavior and motion by creating animations for size and color changes, animating along curves, and enabling drag-and-drop gestures
• Evaluate development and career-readiness practices by running sample programs in Android Studio, researching local companies’ technology stacks, and participating in user group activities
