This unit develops students’ ability to use futures thinking and disciplined documentation to prepare HR plans for an AI-influenced workplace. Students will practice scenario analysis, evaluate ethical and organizational implications of emerging technologies, and produce professional notes and briefings for HR decision-makers.
Learning Objectives
- Analyze at least three plausible future workplace scenarios influenced by AI and emerging technologies, identifying specific impacts on recruiting, training, performance management, and job design
- Apply scenario-planning tools and structured foresight prompts to generate strategic HR recommendations and prioritized action steps for workforce planning
- Evaluate ethical, legal, and organizational risks associated with AI-driven HR practices (including bias, privacy, and job displacement) and propose mitigation strategies
- Demonstrate professional note-taking and synthesis by producing a concise stakeholder briefing that summarizes scenarios, recommended policies, and implementation priorities
