This unit introduces the conceptual foundations of Artificial Integrity, examining AI’s societal origins, design dynamics, and implications for work and equity. Students will explore how integrity-centered design differs from conventional AI ethics and prepare to apply metamodels and co-intelligence strategies in human resources contexts.

- Analyze the historical origins and current trajectories of AI to explain its societal and workplace impacts and the need for integrity-centered approaches
- Evaluate how AI design choices create exclusivity, bias, and unequal outcomes and assess their implications for HR policies, equity, and organizational value models
- Apply an Artificial Integrity metamodel to differentiate artificial integrity from traditional AI ethics and to develop integrity-focused criteria for evaluating AI systems in HR
