This unit establishes a strategic foundation for adopting Data & AI by assessing organizational readiness, identifying high-impact use cases, and defining governance and technical constraints. Students will learn to inventory data and systems, apply the STAR Framework™ to prioritize opportunities, and produce an initial implementation roadmap that readies pilots and deeper technical design in subsequent units.
Learning Objectives
- Analyze the impacts of rapid business and technological change on an organization and identify at least three AI-driven opportunity areas aligned to strategic and operational goals
- Apply the STAR Framework™ to document, segment, and prioritize operational and product-led use cases, distinguishing quick-win pilots from longer-term strategic initiatives
- Evaluate an organization’s current data inventory, reference architecture, legal and regulatory constraints, and data maturity to produce a gap analysis and recommendations for remediation
- Create a basic implementation roadmap and stakeholder engagement plan—including process, organization, technology, and information models and measurable success metrics—to prepare selected use cases for pilot deployment
