AI Project Execution and Governance

This unit focuses on the practical management of AI-driven projects, covering prompt engineering, human-in-the-loop workflows, the six-layer AI model development lifecycle, and data security. Students will practice planning and executing AI project phases, documenting and archiving communications, and designing training and governance to address ethical, technical, and people-centered risks.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze the six layers of the AI model development lifecycle and map project management tasks, deliverables, and stakeholder roles to each layer
• Apply prompt engineering techniques and human-in-the-loop strategies to design and optimize AI workflows, producing a sample prompt set and an escalation protocol
• Demonstrate planning and execution proficiency by creating a project plan and communication/archiving template that addresses the planning, design, and executing phases of an AI project
• Evaluate AI data security, ethical considerations, and professional development needs, and develop a mitigation and training plan that aligns soft-skill development with governance best practices
