Agent Configuration and Deployment

This unit guides students through selecting and building Copilot Studio agents from templates, integrating enterprise systems, and preparing agents for production. Students will learn template selection, autonomy models, configuration steps (including Microsoft Forms and Salesforce), CI/CD considerations, and security context (Run as user).

Learning Objectives

• Analyze and compare agent templates and autonomy models (citizen services, contact center, public sector, HR; autonomous vs. semi-autonomous) to select the most appropriate design for a given scenario
• Apply prerequisite checks and CI/CD pipeline concepts to prepare an agent project for deployment, including necessary permissions and environment configuration
• Demonstrate building and configuring an agent from the Citizen Services template, integrating Microsoft Forms and Salesforce Sales Cloud, and setting agent runtime options
• Evaluate security and operational considerations—such as configuring the Run as user and production readiness—when deploying agents into enterprise contexts
