This unit introduces foundational concepts at the intersection of artificial intelligence, energy systems, and urban/natural ecosystems. Students investigate AI basics, resilience and adaptation, trustworthy AI considerations, human-centered design, municipal and energy efficiency use cases, and the workforce skills needed to prepare for applied work in subsequent units.
