Applied Prompting and AI Integration

This unit develops practical prompt-writing skills and integrates ethical, privacy, and workflow considerations into real-world AI tasks. Students will learn to design effective prompts for text, audio, and video; build and test conversational agents and routine-answer automations; and evaluate bias, transparency, and data-privacy risks while preparing workflows and roles for AI augmentation.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze AI outputs and systems to identify bias, fairness, transparency, and data-privacy risks, and recommend specific mitigation and documentation strategies.
• Apply prompt-design principles and research tools to produce clear, context-aware prompts that overcome vagueness and writer’s block and generate brand-aligned text, audio, and video assets.
• Demonstrate the design, testing, and iteration of a conversational AI chatbot or routine-response automation that personalizes customer interactions and leverages predictive analysis to improve conversion-related outcomes.
• Evaluate strategies to integrate AI into existing workflows—including tool augmentation, troubleshooting when AI fails, and translating current skills into AI-resilient roles—to streamline tasks and maintain accountability.
