This unit develops practical skills for creating coherent instructional sequences by applying established design models (ADDIE, Gagné, SOI, RIPPLES) and aligning objectives, assessments, media, and delivery modes. Students will prototype instruction, plan for implementation and evaluation, and account for learner differences and potential barriers to support successful deployment.

- Apply learner analysis data and chosen action verbs to write measurable learning objectives and align summative and formative assessments for a specified lesson or module
- Demonstrate the ability to design and prototype an instructional sequence that selects appropriate media, technology, and delivery mode (self‑paced vs. group) and incorporates real‑world problem‑solving activities
- Evaluate implementation considerations by identifying potential barriers, selecting evaluation measures across multiple levels, and creating a plan to revise prototypes based on formative and summative feedback
