Foundations of STEM Instruction

This unit establishes a common language and rationale for STEM education by examining core concepts, the historical context of U.S. STEM education, and the role of science, technology, engineering, and math in classrooms. Students practice aligning instruction and resources with standards, promoting inquiry and equity, and selecting technologies and assessments that prepare learners for subsequent units on lesson design and implementation.
