This unit synthesizes infrastructure, deployment, and change-management topics to prepare students to plan and execute an electronic health record (EHR) implementation for varying practice sizes. Topics include practice sizing, network/server/workstation planning, regulatory compliance, vendor selection and contracts, pricing models, deployment task sequencing, clinician engagement, and practical toolkits.

• Analyze practice size and clinical workflow to determine appropriate network, server, and workstation configurations and produce a scalable deployment plan
• Apply regulatory and compliance requirements to EHR deployment by mapping privacy, security, and documentation controls into technical and operational procedures
