Foundations of LSAT & Law School Prep

This unit orients students to the LSAT and the law‑school application process while introducing core Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension strategies. Students will learn test structure, timing, guessing and answer‑sheet procedures, and begin evaluating law‑school choices and application requirements to prepare for deeper skill work in subsequent units.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze the LSAT exam structure, section types, timing, scoring, and common question formats and produce a personalized test‑day plan and study schedule based on an initial diagnostic assessment
• Apply foundational logical reasoning and reading comprehension strategies by identifying question types (e.g., assumption, strengthen/weaken, inference, paradox, main point), mapping argument structure, and correctly answering a curated set of at least 10 representative practice items with a target of 70% accuracy
• Demonstrate effective exam tactics — including time management, educated guessing, passage presentation, and accurate answer‑sheet procedures — by completing a timed practice section and correctly transferring answers to an official answer sheet
• Evaluate law‑school selection factors (program fit, concentrations such as business/corporate law, admissions timeline, costs) and complete an application materials checklist plus required form drafts for at least two target schools
