Human-Centered AI Implementation

This unit synthesizes AI literacy, ethical practice, and human-centered strategies to prepare students to implement and steward AI safely within networking environments. Students will translate the IRREPLACEABLE framework into actionable plans that protect privacy, reduce bias and distraction, and build organizational trust during initial deployment and beyond.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze ethical, bias, privacy, and safety risks associated with integrating AI into networking systems and produce a written risk assessment with prioritized mitigation strategies
• Apply the IRREPLACEABLE framework to design a 90-day human-centered AI implementation roadmap that addresses explainability, stakeholder roles, and measurable success criteria
• Demonstrate methods to safeguard privacy and protect trust by developing and presenting a policy checklist and incident-response protocol for AI-related events
• Evaluate strategies to maintain AI literacy and reduce AI-driven distractions or addiction by creating and delivering a stakeholder training module with assessment metrics
