This unit prepares learners to lead the strategic, ethical, and operational integration of generative and agentic AI across manufacturing organizations. Students synthesize cross‑industry lessons, design scaling and change‑management plans, and develop governance, workforce, and sustainability approaches that build trust and measurable impact.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze cross‑industry AI case studies (finance, retail, energy) to identify transferable opportunities and risks for manufacturing and produce prioritized recommendations.
• Apply change management and scaling strategies to create a detailed implementation plan that transitions AI initiatives from pilot to full‑scale deployment, including success metrics, resource needs, and stakeholder communication.
• Demonstrate the ability to design ethical governance and sustainability policies for AI in manufacturing that address privacy, environmental monitoring, circularity, and social impact, with mechanisms for accountability and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate organizational design, workforce development, and leadership actions to produce an actionable roadmap that builds trust, mitigates resistance, and aligns culture and incentives with an AI‑enabled strategy.
