Polishing and Presenting Proposals

This unit focuses on finalizing competitive grant proposals and preparing persuasive oral and visual presentations while integrating AI responsibly. Students will learn checklist-driven submission practices, ethical AI use, proofreading and editing strategies, and targeted follow-up and funding pathways such as SBIR and nonprofit grants.

• Analyze reviewer expectations and proposal guidelines to align narrative, evidence, and budget using a match-up approach and submission checklists
• Apply AI tools responsibly to draft, revise, and proofread proposal components while maintaining human oversight and protecting originality and confidentiality
• Demonstrate persuasive oral and visual presentation techniques that communicate project impact, partnerships, and funding needs with confidence
• Evaluate funding pathways (including SBIR and nonprofit grants), post-submission follow-up strategies, and risks of overreliance on AI to improve awardability
