Interactive Arduino Prototyping

This unit guides students through integrating sensors, actuators, and communication tools to build polished, interactive Arduino projects. Students will prototype, test, package, and publish working devices while engaging with maker and online communities to prepare for more advanced electrical technology applications.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze serial communication and sensor signal data using the Arduino Serial Monitor and Web Editor to identify faults and validate system behavior
• Apply circuit design and prototyping techniques to assemble and program integrated projects combining servos, ultrasonic distance sensors, PIR motion detectors, and audio outputs
• Demonstrate systematic testing and debugging procedures, including component-level verification and iterative troubleshooting, to ensure reliable device operation
• Evaluate and document completed projects for safety, usability, and professional presentation; prepare enclosures, user instructions, and publish project documentation to online platforms and maker spaces
