Ethical AI, Foresight, Leadership

This capstone unit synthesizes strategic foresight, data literacy, and ethical leadership to prepare learners to guide technology-enabled transformation. Students will evaluate AI risks and opportunities, apply decision tools to produce bankable foresights, and design accountable implementation plans that align with sustainability and organizational purpose.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze trade-offs between specialization and generalization and use the Now-Next continuum to produce bankable foresights that inform timely organizational decisions.
• Evaluate ethical, legal, and social implications of AI, data systems, and synthetic media (e.g., deepfakes), and recommend governance policies that promote human-centered, responsible technology use.
• Apply decision tools (Questions–Insights–Foresights–Adaptive Strategy and reflective checklists) to develop an adaptive implementation plan that integrates privacy, risk mitigation, and Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) considerations.
• Demonstrate leadership strategies for workforce transformation and meaningful innovation by proposing measurable metrics, change commitments, and integration approaches to optimize people, process, and technology.
