HR Operating Models & Talent Readiness

This unit guides students through designing and implementing HR operating models that move processes from manual to automated solutions, including cloud migration and data-product approaches. Students will also learn methods for solution reuse, governance (stage-gate), and assessing and sourcing talent to support the transformed HR operating model.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze and compare HR operating model design options and select an appropriate model based on organizational needs and constraints
• Apply principles of automation and cloud disposition to create a migration approach that transitions manual HR processes to coded, scalable solutions
• Evaluate data readiness and establish data-product pod structures, reuse (assetization) strategies, and a stage‑gate tracking process for HR solution development
• Demonstrate methods to assess talent gaps, develop internal sourcing strategies, and create a talent commitment plan to staff and sustain the redesigned HR operating model
